Internships
Several internship opportunities are available for mathematicians, computer scientists and biologists ...
Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)
VLSCI offers half stipends (50% of the employment costs) for computational biology projects. Students undertake a project that is part of the research program of a biomedical research laboratory. They are mentored by a supervisory research scientist and work alongside other staff and students in the team. The goal of the collaboration is to provide opportunities for undergraduates to work in computation-intensive Life Sciences research projects.
In 2012, eight students have been awarded VLSCI placements over 2 rounds. Go to UROP site for details.
